When restoring or altering VDO, occlusal bite stops can be fabricated to help give the patient a test run of the new height of occlusion before fabricating final restorations.  Occlusal bite stops are much more practical then traditional bite splints because they can not be removed by the patient, so you get a realistic trial run of the new VDO.

Occlusal bite stops are fabricated out of a Multi-Layered PMMA material that is made up of special acrylic resins combined with organically modified ceramics that are milled on our state of the art Zirkonzahn M5 Milling System.
